This skin cosmetic comprises (A) 0.1-10 wt.% of a water- swellable clay mineral, (B) ≥70 wt.% of at least one kind of a polyhydric alcohol selected from the group consisting of a polyethylene glycol having ≤1,000 average molecular weight, glycerol, diglycerol, 1,3-butylene glycol, diethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol and hexylene glycol and (C) 0.1-20 wt.% of a polyoxyethylene addition type nonionic surfactant and generates heat when mixed with water.
