Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a skin cosmetic useful for preventing chapped skin such as cracks and chaps and aging of skin, comprising an indenemalonate derivative as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: This skin cosmetic contains 0.0001-20wt.%, preferably 0.01-3wt.% of a compound of the formula (R1 is a 1-10C alkyl; R2 is a 1-10C alkyl, a 2-6C alkenyl or a 3-7C cycloalkyl; X is O or NH) as an active ingredient. The compound of the formula has growing action on epidermal keratinization cell and effect on dermatopathy caused by 12-0-tetradecanoyl-phorbol-13-acetate. The skin cosmetic has characteristics of acting in the direction to promote restoration when the skin requires the restoration and acting in the direction to suppress an abnormal reaction when it occurs in the skin. The skin cosmetic is pharmaceutically manufactured into a dosage form such as milky lotion, cream, lotion, powder, pack, beautifying solution, etc., and used.
