To provide a skin detergent composition which retains in a skin without being made to flow, is easy to be stretched, can wash in every corner with smooth foam even to parts hard to be washed, further has no residual feeling directly after rinsing, and can obtain a bare skin feeling free from stickiness on drying.
The skin detergent composition includes: (A) alkyl ether carboxylate represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1 denotes a 4 to 22C alkyl group; n denotes the number of 0 to 20; and M denotes a hydrogen atom, alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, ammonium or organic ammonium) or its salt, the average carbon number of the R1 is 10.8 to 12.8, while a component(s) of n=0 is included by >9.6 to 27 mass%, and a component(s) of n=1 and a component(s) of n=2 are included by 21 to <40 mass% in total by 0.5 to 15 mass%; (B) an amphoteric surfactant of 0.25 to 10 mass%; and (C) water.
