Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity and quality by applying a blow molding where a die is closed after a parison hung from a die head catches a pin shaft and a nozzle and then the air is blown into the inside through the nozzle.
SOLUTION: Thermoplastic resin (vinyl chloride resin) plasticized in an extruder is pushed on as a cylindrical parison from a die head 6. The parison P hangs down to the position that its top covers a pin shaft 54 and a nozzle 53 of a holder 5. Then a right die 4a and a left die 4b are pushed together so that a blow mold B closes with the parison P holding the pin shaft 54 and the nozzle 53. After the mold is completely closed, the air is blown into the parison through the nozzle 53 of the holder designed to shape out a funnel where compressed air runs through a tube 9 into a block 51 and blows out from an air outlet. By this operation the parison P is expanded up to melt fixed to the face of a cavity 46 so as to form a shape identical to its inner face.
