Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a skin irritation relaxant, comprising a nonionic surfactant composed of a silicone having a perfluoroalkyl group and a polyoxyalkylene group as the side chain, having low irritancy and excellent in safety.
CONSTITUTION: This skin irritation relaxant comprises a compound of formula I [(m) and (n) are average values; (m) and (n) are 1-100; Rf is 1-8C perfluoroalkyl; R is polyoxyalkylene of (CH2CH2O)a(CH2CH(CH3)O)bR2; (a) and (b) are 0-100; (a+b) is ≥1; R2 is H or 1-5C hydrocarbon] (e.g. a compound of formula II). In the compound of formula I, the number of units to which the perfluoroalkyl group is bound is preferably 10-60%, more preferably 20-50% based on the total number of units. This skin irritation relaxant is used in an amount of about 0.1-3 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. product. This relaxant is, e.g. a hair cosmetic such as a shampoo, a rinse, a conditioner or a hair treatment, a basal cosmetic such as a milky lotion, a lotion, a cream or a cleansing, a foundation or a nail color.
