To provide a skin material for clothing which can freely impart a pattern and a hand desired by a consumer to a clothing fabric.

This skin material for clothing is formed of a woven fabric. The woven fabric is preferably a woven fabric having a plain weave texture woven using a polyester multifilament yarn. The woven fabric has a print on its surface. Various patterns can be freely imparted by printing. A heat- sensitive adhesive is provided on the backside of the woven fabric. Dots of the heat-sensitive adhesive are provided in a scattered point form one by one at predetermined spacing. This skin material is stacked so that the surface of the outer material for clothing is abutted against the backside of the skin material, followed by pressing while heating by means of a steam iron or the like, whereby both the materials are laminated to each other to form a texture for clothing. The texture for clothing is sewn to form a desired clothing.
