Abstract:
To provide a slag discharge hole structure allowing stable discharge of molten slag even when viscosity of the molten slag varies due to operation conditions or the like, and a slag discharge method.SOLUTION: A slag discharge hole structure 2 of the present invention comprises a slag flow-in port 21 positioned inside an electric furnace 1, a slag flow-out port 22 positioned outside the furnace, and a slag flow passage 23 communicating the slag flow-in port 21 with the slag flow-out port 22. A roughly cylindrical first copper member 31 is incorporated into an inner wall of the slag flow passage 23, and a roughly cylindrical second copper member 32 is incorporated into the inner wall of a hole 31h of the first copper member 31, and the inner wall of a hole 32h of the second copper member 32 constitutes a part of the molten slag flow passage. In a slag discharge method of the present invention, the discharge amount of the molten slag is adjusted by preparing multiple second copper members 32, 32' of different hole diameters and by selecting and using the second copper members 32, 32' of a predetermined hole diameter according to the viscosity of the molten slag.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
