To produce high-pressure steam while increasing efficiency of heat recovery from a slag.
A slag heat recovery device includes: a pool 1 storing water; a cylindrical container 2 which is provided inside the pool, whose upper end opening is blocked and whose lower end opening 3 is immersed into water while being in an open state; an inflow port 12 of a molten slag S1 provided in a ceiling wall 8 of the cylindrical container; a slag heat recovery chamber 2A which is defined inside the cylindrical container, whose upper part is set as a steam chamber 4 storing steam and whose lower portion is set a water sealing chamber 5 which stops leakage of the steam of the steam chamber by retaining water, and which generates a slag solidified by cooling to immerse the slag into water of the water sealing chamber and generate steam by allowing the molten slag flowing from the inflow port to contact the water; a steam extraction port 7 from which the steam inside the steam chamber is extracted outside; a slag transfer conveyer 30 which receives and transfers the slag immersed into the water of the water sealing chamber; and a water spray 6 which jets spray water W to the molten slag flowing from the inflow port to water-granulate the slag.
