To provide a post-treatment apparatus of slag and a method therefor, for completely collecting slag and recycling it, and further forming fine powder.

The post-treatment apparatus is installed at a rear end of a sand washer 21 for treating slag subjected to sieve-sorting to 8 mm or less by a sieve, wherein a water level height difference control device 220 communicated with the sand washer at the rear end thereof and a powerful pump 22 are provided at a rear end of the sand washer, a slurry separator 23 is provided at the outlet of the pump 22 so as to be communicated therewith, a drying part provided with a water storage pool communicated with the slurry separator is included, and the slurry separator is provided with a partitioning part 232 splitting the slurry separator into a front part 231 and a rear part 233. The post-treatment method of slag includes the slurry separation work of settling the slag of fine powder size at the rear part of the slurry separator, and a continuous water storing work of sending slag-removed water by settling to the water storage pool for recycling, using the apparatus.
