This sleep apnea index measuring device S0 is formed by substantially and integrally mounting a functional part and a display part 14 on the device body part 10. The functional part includes: a measuring means 11 for measuring a parameter related to the respiratory information of a subject H; a storage means 12 for storing the measurement data obtained by the measuring means 11; an arithmetic means 13 for obtaining the sleep apnea index based upon the measurement data stored in the storage means 12; an abnormality detecting means 15 for determining the measurement state or the presence/absence of abnormality of the measurement data; and an abnormality determination means 16. The display means 14 displays predetermined information related to the measurement. The arithmetic means 13 performs the operation for obtaining sleep apnea index after excluding the measurement data obtained during a period determined to be abnormal by the abnormality determination means 16.
