Abstract:
To provide a sleeper and a sleeper structure, capable of preventing flapping phenomenon and being simply constructed with a structure less complicated than that of a conventional double-cross sleeper.
A sleeper 1 which supports a joint of rails arranged for a railway track and is independently used comprises a long sleeper body 2 and projecting members 3 cantilevered from the sides of the sleeper body 2. The neighboring projecting members 3 in the longitudinal direction of the sleeper body 2 are independently installed of each other. The sleeper body 2 and the projecting members 3 are integrally bonded.
