Abstract:
To make a central portion of a sleeper as slender as possible.
The sleeper includes a pair of rail receiving members 11, 12 corresponding to right and left rails 13, 14, respectively, and a connecting member 23 connecting the rail receiving members 11, 12 to each other. Each of the rail receiving members 11, 12 and the connecting member 23 are connected to each other through a structure 25 which does not transmit bending moment caused by a load applied to each rail receiving member 11, 12, from each rail 13, 14 to the connecting member 23.
