To provide a sleeve for a gum compression that can uniformly depress a gum compression thread coiled around along the gum edge and can depress the gum edge at the time of odontotherapy and a shaping tool therefor.
The lower end of a compressing sleeve 8 made by forming a sheet of paper or a nonwoven fabric into a cylinder having a diameter of 4 to 13 mm is cut along the shape of a cervical line. The compressing sleeve 8 is put on a formed crown 3a shaped as a restoration support, the lower end is pressed against the gum compressing thread 6 coiled around the upper portion of the gingival crevice 5a, and depressed toward the bottom of the gingival crevice 5a. By compressing the sleeve for a while, a necessary restoration margin 9 is secured in the gum compressing portion. After the compressing sleeve 8 is removed, impression collection is ushered in.
