Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve packaging machine which packages items into a sleeve without requiring alteration regardless of the number of lines in which the items are arranged, and to provide a blank therefor.
SOLUTION: In the case where the items (2) to be packaged are arranged in two lines, by using a folding part and an engaging device, the side portion (c2) of the female side of the blank (1) is folded along a crease (d2), it is further folded along a crease (m) in the form of a crank, and, then, after the lower end of the side portion (c2) is turned upward, it is engaged with the male side. In the case where the item (2) is in one line, the side portion (c2) of the female side of the blank (1) is folded along a crease (d2), and, then, after the lower end of the side portion (c2) is turned upward, it is engaged with the male side.
