Abstract:

To provide a sleeve fitted to a shaft for preventing the entrapment of inclusion which is floated up on molten metal and again drawn into the molten metal to be dispersed.

In a rotary degassing device for executing the degassing by blowing inert gas into the molten metal, the sleeve 2 having spiral-shape groove 3 carved in the reverse direction to the rotating direction for preventing the entrapment of the inclusion foated up on the molten metal is fitted to the shaft 1 of the rotary degassing device for the molten metal. By this constitution, the inclusion in the molten metal after degassing can drastically be reduced.
