PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint permitting easy connecting work, facilitating the identification of connection after construction without causing the dispersion of connecting strength, and allowing easy piping construction using a small tool.
SOLUTION: This sleeve type pipe joint 10 comprises a joint body 11 having a core portion 12 to be inserted and supported into the inner face of a connection pipe 30 and a diameter shrinking member 20 to be mounted on the outer face of the connection pipe externally inserted into the core portion 12 for shrinking the diameter of the connection pipe, the diameter shrinking member having a diameter-shinkable sleeve portion 1, a thin shearing portion 25 and an annular portion 24 to be compressed in the axial direction, sheared at the shearing portion and fitted at its inner face into the outer face of the sleeve portion for shrinking the diameter of the sleeve. The diameter shrinking member 20 can be locked to the joint body 11. The joint body 11 and the diameter shrinking member 20 can be locked with a locking protrusion 23 formed on the sleeve portion and a locking protrusion 63 on the annular portion, respectively. The sleeve portion has a cut-off 27 at a portion on its circumference.
