To provide a sleeve valve device which is operable even at a place where any electric power is unavailable, or any person for performing the moving operation of a valve element is no present.
The sleeve valve device 1 includes a porous sleeve 2, a cylindrical valve element 5, a float 30, and a connection mechanism 20. A plurality of outflow holes 3 consisting of tapered holes for allowing water to flow into a water storage tank 50 are formed in the porous sleeve 2. The valve element 5 is internally fitted to the porous sleeve 2, and moved in one direction and in the other direction of its axial direction to increase/decrease the opening degree of the plurality of outflow holes 3. The float 30 is elevated/lowered according to the fluctuation of the water level in the water storage tank 50. The connection mechanism 20 connects the float 30 to the valve element 5 so that the valve element 5 is moved in one direction and the other direction of the axial direction of the porous sleeve 2 by the elevating/lowering operation of the float 30.
