Abstract:
To provide a slicer and a slicing method that are able to slice a workpiece with high thickness accuracy despite continuous slicing.SOLUTION: A rotation control unit feeds a band knife 10 in a direction of a blade edge 10a by means of a pair of pulleys 11a, 11b and causes the blade edge to run between a pair of guide blades 10c1 while abutting on regulating rollers 13a, 13b on the upstream and downstream sides. A setting control unit sets blade-edge positions on the upstream and downstream sides of the band knife detected based on position detection sensors 14a, 14b on the upstream and downstream sides, as reference cutting-edge positions on the upstream and downstream sides. A measurement control unit measures the blade-edge positions on the upstream and downstream sides of the band knife detected on the basis of the position detection sensors on the upstream and downstream sides, as the measured blade-edge positions on the upstream and downstream sides. An adjustment control unit returns the current blade-edge positions on the upstream and downstream sides to the reference blade-edge positions on the upstream and downstream sides by adjusting the inclinations of the rotary shafts of the pair of pulleys and the positions of regulating rollers on the upstream and downstream sides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
