PURPOSE: To prevent displacement of a cutting blade, by a method wherein a space vibration generating device is provided close by a blade plate and a columnar body material is cut off in a laminate state while vibrating an inner circumferential blade or an outer circumferential blade in an axial direction of the columnar body material by the space vibration generating device.
CONSTITUTION: A space vibration generating device 26 is fitted to a part close to a blade plate 25 of an inner circumferential blade or an outer circumferential blade 24. The inner circumferential blade or the outer circumferential blade 24 is turned, an ultrasonic wave is propagated to the blade plate 25 from the space vibration generating device 26 and the inner circumferential blade or the outer circumferential blade 24 is vibrated in the axial direction of the columnar body material 36. With this construction, the columnar body material 36 can be cut off by making a cutting groove width of the same wider than a blade thickness of the inner circumferential blade or the outer circumferential blade 24 at the time of cutting of the columnar body material 24, in the inner circumferential blade or the outer circumferential blade 24. Therefore, displacement to be generated at the time of the cutting by the inner circumferential blade or the outer circumferential blade 24 can be prevented and accuracy of flatness of a cut laminate material is improved.
