To provide a slidable electronic component capable of easily making the height and width of a moving body storage space uniform in a sliding direction.
A slidable variable resistor 1-1 has a moving body 10 which slides, a case 50 constituted by forming a storage 55 between both side walls 53 and 53 stood from a bottom 51 by having the bottom 51, and the side walls 53 and 53, an electrical function comprising a slider 45 and a circuit pattern 81 that vary the electric output of the moving body 10 by its movement, and a cover 100 which covers the storage 55 of the case 50. The case 50 is made of synthetic resin, and the cover 100 is made of a metal plate. The reverse surface of the cover 100 is brought into contact with upper sides 53a and 53a of the side walls 53 and 53 of the case 50 to define the height C1 of the moving body storage space C formed of the storage 55 of the case 50 and the reverse surface of the cover 100.
