Abstract:
To provide a titanium alloy-based slide bearing capable of improving hardness of a slide surface in such a manner as to maintain toughness of the slide surface.SOLUTION: A slide bearing is made of a titanium alloy. The slide bearing comprises an oxygen diffusion layer on a slide surface. The nitrogen concentration in the oxygen diffusion layer is 0.5 mass% or less. The oxygen concentration in the oxygen diffusion layer is 0.6 mass% or more and 8.0 mass% or less on the slide surface. According to the slide bearing, the hardness of the slide surface can be improved in such a manner as to maintain the toughness of the slide surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
