Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide bearing which enables a reduction of the number of components and assembly man-hours and can be manufactured at a lower cost.SOLUTION: A rack bush 1 is housed in a cylindrical housing and supports a load applied to a rack shaft while allowing movement of the rack shaft 5 in an axis O direction. The rack bush 1 includes: a cylindrical bush body 2 into which the rack shaft is inserted; and a diameter reduction elastic member 3 which is integrally formed with the bush body 2 and protrudes from an outer peripheral surface of the bush body 2 to a radial outer side. The bush body 2 has a slit which is formed in the axis O direction from one end surface to the other end surface. In the diameter reduction elastic member 3, a radial outer end part is brought into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the housing to bias the bush body 2 to a radial inner side when the rack bush 1 is housed in the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
