Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide bearing which can elongate a life by improving the durability of an elastic body.SOLUTION: A rack bush 1 comprises: a cylindrical bush main body 2 which is accommodated in a cylindrical housing, and supports a load applied to a rack shaft while permitting the movement of the rack shaft 5 to an axis O-direction, and into which the rack shaft is inserted; and an elastic member 3 which is attached to the bush main body 2, protrudes outwardly from an external peripheral face of the bush main body 2, abuts on an internal peripheral face of the housing when the rack bush is accommodated in the housing, and energizes the bush main body 2 to the inside of a radial direction. The bush main body 2 has a slit which is formed along the axis O-direction toward the other end face from one end face. The elastic member 3 has a protrusion which protrudes outwardly while being inclined to the radial direction of the bush main body 2, and abuts on the internal peripheral face of the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
