Abstract:
To provide a slide bearing which is advantageous for damping large seismic energy while reducing an occupied space and costs.SOLUTION: When a large horizontal force is exerted on a building by an earthquake, a control unit 28 causes a magnetic force generation part 22 to generate a magnetic force according to a magnitude of the vibration quantity detected by a sensor 52. The magnetic force acts as a force which attracts a downward-facing slide surface 20 to an upward-facing slide surface 18, and thus the downward-facing slide surface 20 receives a resistance from an outer periphery part 1804. Further, a magnetic force is generated from a coil 34 with respect to a magnetic viscous fluid 50 to deform a shape of the magnetic viscous fluid 50 enclosed in a bag body 48 in a manner that the shape extends along a direction of a magnetic field. The action causes a piston rod 46 to protrude upward to move a friction body 24 to a contact position P1 and place a frictional surface 38 in contact with the downward-facing slide surface 20. As a result, the downward-facing slide surface 20 receives frictional resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
