Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a void in the transfer by changing over a transfer voltage to a low voltage only on specified timing.
CONSTITUTION: The transfer voltage Vd applied to a transfer unit 2 is constituted so that the transfer voltage Vd can be changed over to a high normal transfer voltage Vh and a transfer voltage Vl lower than that, timing specifying means 22, 25, 26 and 20 and a transfer voltage changeover control means 20 are provided, so that the transfer voltage Vd is automatically changed over to the low transfer voltage Vl only during the time (set time T) when the leading edge P1 of a paper sheet butts against the surface 6F of the exit side guide 6 of the transfer unit 2 and the paper sheet P is curved, protrudedly to the side of a photosensitive drum 1 and deformed.
