PURPOSE: To provide a slide guide device of a press with the high dynamic precision and unbalanced load resistance.

CONSTITUTION: The up and down movement is guided by abutting with sliding a slide-give 15 installed on an uprights 4 side of a press body 1 and a liner 18 installed on a slide 13 side being movable up and down with a slide driving mechanism. The slide-give 15 is composed by dividing a long size material having a circular-cylinder-like central hole into plural numbers from the center to the direction of axis line and making the face of internal circumference as a sliding face 15a, and the linear 18 is composed by dividing a circular column into plural numbers from the center to the direction of axis line and making the face of external circumference as a sliding face 18a, and they are attached respectively to the uprights 4 and the slide 13. Then, because the slide 13 is moved up and down by being guided with the circular-cylinder-like sliding faces 15a, 18a, the gap of center is made to the minimum and the dynamic precision is improved. Further, even if the slide 13 is applied with the unbalanced load, but an automatic centering mechanism is acted, so the unbalanced load resistance is also improved.
