A slide guide device includes: a guide 20 having a guide surface 21; a slider 30 including a sliding surface 31; an air pocket 32 formed on the sliding surface 31 while facing the guide surface 21; a pressurized air tank 34 for supplying a pressurized air into the air pocket 32; and a control device 50 for controlling the pressurized air tank 34, while the control device 50 has an air pressure setting part for setting a proper air pressure based on the sliding resistance occurring between the guide surface 21 and the sliding surface 31, and an air pressure controlling part for controlling the supply of the pressurized air of the pressurized air tank 34 in accordance with the air pressure set by the air pressure setting part.
