Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide member showing an initial rubbing effect and a repair effect of a specular state at its subsequent contact part.SOLUTION: A valve lifter main body 100 of the invention has a crestal plane 110 and a skirt part 120 extending from the crestal plane 110 downward. The crestal plane 110 has a flat surface 112, the flat surface 112 is formed with a plurality of recesses 140 generated by a texture processing or dimple processing. After forming the recesses 140, non-crystal hard carbon [DLC] coat 130 is formed on the flat surface 112 including the recesses 140. The surface of DLC coat 130 is formed with a plurality of grooves corresponding to the plurality of recesses 140 and droplets 132 are also formed in the plurality of grooves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
