Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide member that can obtain a surface having a low-friction coefficient at low cost.SOLUTION: The slide member 111 includes a cast iron 111a containing a spherical graphite 111b as a base material and a slide surface 113 sliding on the other member. The slide surface 113 is subjected to shot blast process where a projection material 131 is projected toward the slide surface 113 after being polished. The shot blast process removes the spherical graphite 111b present at the slide surface 113 to form a recessed part 115 at the slide surface 113. The shot blast process reduces Rpk of the slide surface 113.
