To provide a slide operation mechanism which can suppress variations in the amount of sliding operation of an operation member due to assembling error when a push switch is pushed on.

The slide operation mechanism includes a push operation member 90 which is supported by the push switch 50 in such a manner that the member is movable forward and backward in the pushing direction, a sliding member 30 which is held by an operation member 20 in such a manner that it is movable forward and backward in the pushing direction and slides on the push operation member 90 while the operation member 20 is slid, and components such as a cam 40 and coil spring 41 that give biases to the sliding member 30 in the pushing direction of the push switch 50 by elasticity. A guide surface 92 of the push operation member 90 where the sliding member 30 moves guides the sliding member 30 so that the biases in the pushing direction of the push switch 50 given to the sliding member 30 from the cam 40 and the coil spring 41 etc. increase as the amount of sliding operation of the operation member 20 increases.
