PURPOSE: To accurately evaluate the slide resistance of a sample on a wet and a dry road surface by heating or cooling sample rubber and controlling it to specific temperature, and taking a measurement.
CONSTITUTION: The sample rubber 17 is mounted on a sample mount base 4 stop a pendulum 3, while a rod surface sample base 18 where a road surface sample 19 is adhered is installed in front of a rack 1, and the height adjusting knob 13 of the rack 1 is adjusted to perform control so that when the pendulum 3 swings, the sample rubber 17 slides on the road surface sample 19 accurately within a constant-length range. Then the pendulum 3 is locked by a stopper 10 at the position where an arm 5 is horizontal. In this state, a temperature adjusting device 15 is fitted in the sample rubber 17, which is heated or cooled to the specific temperature. After the specific temperature is reached, the temperature adjusting device 15 is detached from the sample rubber 17 and the stopper 10 is disengaged to fall the pendulum 3, thereby making the sample rubber 17 slides on the road surface sample 19.
