Abstract:
To provide a slide switch with high operational capability and high durability.
A first sliding part 14 and a second sliding contact part 16 are held in a slider 12 of the slide switch 10, and a first movable contact 22 to a fourth movable contact 28 are installed in the first sliding part 14 and the second sliding contact part 16. A first fixed contact 32 to a third fixed contact 36 corresponding to the movable contacts 22-28 are installed in a fixed side insulator 30. Thereby, the slide switch 10 functions as a switch having quadruplex-break structure. Generation of an arc in opening and closing of the contact is remarkably reduced, and the consumption/deterioration of the contact, the insulator, and grease is decreased.
