Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device which is constituted to improve the starting device of a slide throttle valve type carburetor and improve acceleration operation after deceleration operation of an engine.
CONSTITUTION: A starting valve 28 is provided with a regulation shaft 29 and a needle valve for starting and the regulation shaft is extended through a holder member 32 mounted in a screwed-in state in the opening of a starting valve guide cylinder. The contact surface 31A of a knob 31 at the upper end of the regulation shaft is energized by a spring 34 and brought into contact with the lock stepped part 32G of the holder member. In the lowest opening position of the starting valve, in such a state that the holder member is rotated and regulated, a needle large part 30A for starting is inserted in a fuel nozzle 24 and inhalation of fuel is suppressed. During idling, a slide throttle valve 13 is held in a fully closed state, air for idling is fed through an air-fuel mixture passage 23 for starting and fuel for idling is fed through a pilot hole 11. Further, during deceleration operation, the occurrence of adhesion to the inner wall of an intake air passage 2A and residence fuel is suppressed and following acceleration operation is improved.
