To provide a slide type electronic component capable of aiming at reduction of its thickness, with improved operability, capable of preventing generation of impact noise and with a structure simplified through reduction of the number of parts.
The slide type electronic component 1 equipped with a sliding molded object 30 fitted inside a container 13 of a case 10 in free sliding movement and so structured to have an electric output changed by the sliding movement of the sliding molded object 30, is provided with a leaf-like elastic spring 20 as a springing means restoring the sliding molded object 30 to a given position, and a click spring contact part 21 is provided at the elastic spring 20, as well as a click engagement part 19 at the case 10. When the sliding molded object 30 moves in sliding, the elastic spring 20 is bent to generate springing force forcing the sliding molded object 30 restored to the given position, while the click spring contact part 21 gets engaged with the click engagement part 19 to generate click feeling.
