To provide a slider for transferring a heavy object preventing an object to be conveyed from being excessively moved through inertia by applying appropriate damping forces to steel balls when the object to be conveyed is put on the slider and moved.

This slider 1 for transferring the heavy object is composed of the steel balls 2, upper and lower hard plate members 3, and an intermediate soft resin plate 4. Each of holes with slightly smaller diameter than the diameter of each of the steel balls 2 is formed at each of the upper and lower hard plate members 3, and each of holes with approximately the same diameter as the diameter of each of the steel balls 2 is formed at the intermediate soft resin plate 4. The inner peripheral surface of each of the holes at the soft resin plate 4 contacts with the peripheral surface of each of the steel balls 2, thereby appropriate frictional resistance is applied between the soft resin plate 4 and each of the steel balls 2, and made to serve as the damping force when transferring the heavy object to be conveyed.
