To provide a slider unit and a card connector enabling size reduction for the card connector and cost reduction.
The card connector 1 comprises a card accommodating space 5 to which a card 2 is inserted through an opening 6. The connector 1 further comprises: a housing 3 having input/output terminals corresponding to electrode parts of the card 2; a slider 9 movable along the directions of insertion/extraction of the card 2, the position of the slider 9 being switchable by a heart cam mechanism 10 between a first position and a second position that is farther from the opening 6 than the first position; a coil spring 13 for energizing the slider 9 in the direction of extraction of the card 2; and a contact part 23 that is formed integrally with the slider 9 and can be in contact with an end portion in the direction of insertion of the card 2. The coil spring 13 is externally inserted to a shaft 12 provided for the slider 9.
