Abstract:

To provide a sliding bearing having excellent sliding characteristics by forming a thin film of polytetrafluoroethylene on a surface of a covered layer and its manufacturing method.

A friction coefficient is reduced, and an objective material is smoothly slided even at the early stage of sliding as the objective material slides on the thin film 4 of polytetrafluoroethylene formed on a surface of the covered layer 3, since the thin film 4 made of polytetrafluoroethylene is formed on the surface of the covered layer 3. Additionally, the objective material is never abrased, for example, even in the case when the objective material one-sidedly contacts, as conformability of the covered layer 3 is improved. Furthermore, the sliding bearing 1 is used even under a high-load condition since a non-seizure property of the covered layer 3 is improved.
