Abstract:

To highly keep the axial out-of-plane bending rigidity to attain a stable edge hold in curving and a stable sliding by providing a core material consisting of a rectangular corrugated or trapezoidal corrugated middle core material extended longitudinally and flat plates adhered to the upper and lower surfaces thereof.

The longitudinal bending rigidity of a snowboard 1 can be easily regulated since it is allotted to an upper surface material 2, the upper surface part of a wrapping material 12, the upper surface plate 14 of a core material 11, a sole material 3, a cushioning material 10, the lower surface parts 18, 18 of the wrapping material 12, a lower surface material 19, and the lower surface plate 13 of the core material 11 in a proper distance. The longitudinal torsional rigidity can be suppressed low since the core material 11 is substantially hollowed and has no side plate, and easily regular by the side surface parts 17, 17 of the wrapping material 12. The middle core material 13 of the core material 11 is made into rectangular corrugated or trapezoidal corrugated form, whereby the lateral rigidity of the snowboard 1 can be set high, and the adhesive surface areas of the upper and lower surface of the middle core material 13 with the upper surface plate 14 and the lower surface plate 13 can be extended to enhance the adhesive strength of the core material 11.
