To drastically reduce friction resistance on a sliding surface and to obtain a sufficient sliding ability without coating wax by executing metallic plating on the sliding surface of a carrier body such as a sleigh or skis, which is moved and carried by means of sliding.
The coating film of a metal such as titanium or stainless steel or the like with high strength, favorably, metallic titanium film (metallic plating) 3 is coated on the carrier body, for example, the sliding surface 2 of the skis 1 by plating such as an ion plating method, a metal melt-spraying method or a spattering method or the like. Or a carbon coating film 3 obtained by heating, evaporating and coagulating carbon is formed on the sliding surface 2. The carbon means a graphite or amorphous carbon or the like, the carbon is hated and evaporated by a plasma jet melt-spraying method or the like, it is coagulated on the sliding surface of the sliding body, and then, the carbon coating film is formed. Metallic plating 3 is favorably executed with the carbon coating film as a base so that a more excellent sliding ability is obtained.
