To automatically change a cut depth in square cutting and angular cutting.

In a sliding circular saw 1, a rod 26 is provided with, for square cutting, a chamfered portion 29 on which a lower-limit position setting bolt 23 abuts, and with, for angular cutting, a circumferential surface portion 30 on which the lower-limit position setting bolt 23 abuts and which sets the lower limit position of a saw blade 11 to be higher than the chamfered portion 29. The rod 26 is switched between a first position in which the chamfered portion 29 abuts on the lower-limit position setting bolt 23 in a square cutting position of a body 9, and a second potion in which the circumferential surface portion 30 abuts on the lower-limit position setting bolt 23 in an angular cutting position thereof.
