Title:
SLIDING CIRCULAR SAW
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3490275
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operating properties and the ease of handling of a sliding circular saw by installing a circular saw body in a freely forward/ backward and up/down moving, direction with respect to a table on which a material to be cut is placed, and inhibiting the forward movement of the circular saw body when it is pushed down to a specified height.
SOLUTION: When a circular saw body 10 which is installed above a table in such a manner that the body 10 can be tilted vertically is retained at the upper position, a connecting bar 23 is returned to the lower position by its own weight. Therefore, the forward/backward sliding action of a sliding bar 7 is permitted without the tilting of a fixed ring 25. On the other hand, when the circular saw body 10 is pushed down to a specified elevation by operation, an engagement projecting part 20 becomes engaged with a receiving protrusion to push the latter upward and the displacement of the connecting bar 23 to the upper side results. Consequently, the energizing force of a compression spring is increased and a rotary plate is pressed to a fixed bolt 26 by a stronger pressing force. In turn, the fixed bolt 26 and the fixed ring 25 are tilted backward to be locked, and the forward sliding action of the sliding bar 7 is inhibited.
