PURPOSE: To improve the strength at the edge attaching positions of a sliding device by a method wherein a horizontal partition is formed inside an edge main body to form upper and lower hollows, synthetic resins are filled in both hollows and expanded outside the hollows, and a sliding surface is formed of the expanded part of the synthetic resin filled in the lower hollow.
CONSTITUTION: An edge main body 2 is made of extruded-form metal pipe and a horizontal partition 21 is formed inside the hollow of the edge main body 2 to form upper and lower hollows 22 and 23. Lengthwise slots 22b and 23b are respectively made in side faces 22a and 23a of the hollows 22 and 23. In a production step, a first synthetic resin 3 is filled in the upper hollows 22 of the edge main bodies 2 and expanded outside from the slots 22b, and similarly a second synthetic resin 4 is filled in the lower hollows 23 and expanded outside from the slots 23b to complete a snow board. A sliding surface is formed of the second synthetic resin 4. Thus, the sole and top edges are integrally formed into one piece with the top and bottom faces of the edge main bodies 2 respectively serving as the top and sole edges, so that the edge attaching strength can be improved.
