PURPOSE: To omit scraping work and maintain a boundary lubricating condition so as to lower starting friction, and prevent ringing so as to improve lubricating performance on the guide face of a machine.

CONSTITUTION: The sliding guide face structure is formed of the sliding face 6 of a machine, block pieces 3, a block support plate A and the reciprocating base 7 of the machine. In the block support plate A, numerous sliding opening parts 2 into which numerous block pieces 3, 3... are respectively mounted in such a way as to be slidable only in one direction are bored at appropriate spaces apart, and the block pieces 3 are interposed between the sliding face 6 and the lower face of the reciprocating base 7 of the machine.
