Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the characteristics of a sliding material by coating a base material with a film having a composition of specific constituent ratio and containing chromium nitride and metallic nickel.
CONSTITUTION: As a sliding material, a base material is coated with a film having a composition where constituent element ratio satisfies, by atomic ratio, chromium : nickel : nitrogen =1 : (0.05 to 1) : (0.1 to 1) and also containing chromium nitride and metallic nickel. By this method, by using a laminated film excellent in seizure resistance, wear resistance, and adhesive strength of film, the characteristics of the sliding parts can be improved.
