Abstract:

To provide a sliding member and a compressor showing satisfactory sliding characteristic when a sliding part has high temperature.

This sliding member of the compressor has a porous part having a plurality of thin holes opened on a sliding face and lubricant held in the thin holes in a solid condition and melted when the sliding face has temperature exceeding 120°C or more on at least a sliding face side. This compressor compresses gas and has a first sliding member and a second sliding member having mutually sliding sliding faces. A sliding face side of at least either of the first sliding member and the second sliding member is constituted by a porous part having a plurality of thin holes opened on a sliding face side and lubricant held in the thin holes in a solid condition and melted when a sliding face has temperature exceeding 120°C or more.
