Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a combination of two mutually sliding members which is used in a hot water-cold water mixing tap, enables hot water and cold water to be mixed smoothly by using an operating lever, and is excellent in smooth sliding and durability by forming one of the two members from a polyacetal resin contg. a lubricant and the other from a polyacetal resin contg. no lubricant.
SOLUTION: The lubricant contained in a polyacetal resin of the first sliding member bleeds out to the surface and enhances the lubrication between the two members, smoothing the sliding and reducing the abrasion. A fluororesin is used as the lubricant. The incorporation of a sliding member prepared from a polyacetal resin and a fluororesin gives a hot water-cold water mixing tap which can be operated smoothly. This member can be used also in valves, etc., for water, oils, and air. A guide ring 10 and a piston 11 are formed from a polyacetal resin contg. a lubricant; and a cover 2 and a cylinder 12 are formed from a polyacetal resin contg. no lubricant.
