Abstract:

To provide a technology for giving slidability to a cylinder liner formed of Al.

As shown in Fig.(a), a ladle 14 with molten aluminum alloy 23 filled inside is moved to a rotation mold 11. At a timing before the ladle is inserted in the rotation mold 11, cast iron powder 26 is dropped from a hopper 18 to the ladle 14. A valve 19 starts and stops input of the cast iron powder 26, and an appropriate amount of the cast iron powder 26 is mixed in the molten aluminum alloy 23 by the valve 19. In a sliding member, an iron-base alloy with crystallized graphite is dispersed in aluminum alloy base material. The graphite maintains lubrication oil or the like to provide a lubrication function, and the slidability can be secured.
