Abstract:
To provide a sliding member having fine holes on the surface and using lubricating effect of oil by oil sumps formed by the fine holes.
This sliding member is formed in a predetermined shape and its surface is partly formed in sliding surfaces. The sliding member comprises a ferrous porous material and an aluminum alloy formed by casting the ferrous porous material. The sliding surface comprises the surface of the ferrous porous material and the surfaces of the aluminum alloy present in the holes of the ferrous porous material, subjected to a shot blasting, and having recessed parts formed in the surface.
