Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve remarkably the wear and scuffing resistances of relatively sliding two members by using a light metal reinforced with alumina-silica fibers as the material of one of the members and a metal plated with an Fe-P alloy as the material of the other. CONSTITUTION:At least the sliding surface of one of relatively sliding two members is made of a composite metallic material obtd. by reinforcing a light metal such as Al, Mg or an alloy thereof as a base material with alumima-silica fibers contg. >=40wt% alumina. The other of the two members is made of a metal plated with an Fe-P alloy contg. 0.5-15wt% P along the sliding surface.
