To provide a sliding type tripod constant velocity joint including a needle unit preventing falling-off of rolling elements with the rolling elements introduced in a cage.
The cage 60 of the constant velocity joint 1 forms a circulation path working as the track of the circulating rolling elements 50 and includes a pair of circulation path forming members 70, 80 connected opposite to respectively support the axial opposite ends of the rolling elements 50. At least one 70 (80) of the circulation path forming members has a window portion 75 (85) opened for introducing the rolling elements 50 from a side in a circulation direction, and a flange portion 76 (86) formed to extend from the peripheral edge of the window portion 75 (85) in the introduction direction of the rolling elements 50. The flange portion 76 (86) is caulked to the opening side of the window portion 75 (85) after the rolling elements 50 are introduced in the circulation path so that the rolling elements 50 do not pass through the window portion 75 (85).
